what is this and why am i not aware of itThis is Shameless, the US version, and it is amazing. It stars the Gallagher family, led by the oldest child, Fiona. She takes care of her father, Frank, and her younger siblings Lip, Ian, Debbie, Carl and Liam (who is inexplicably black). Their neighbors, Veronica and Kevin, also play a huge role in the series.
Some high-lights of the first season:
- Debbie stole a baby
- Frank got kidnapped and left in Canada
- Ian has sex with a married Muslim man
- Kevin and V become foster parents to one of those kids from a religious cult and her baby
- they stole an old lady from a nursing home
